Internal list of Wikimedia and Chapters meeting in Poland uredi

I have to write in English because it should be shown to the people who don't know Slovenian, Serbian etc. Please, use English in this section. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

Voting for access to internal list and wiki uredi

At the spring of 2006 I was talking with Delphine Menard about participation of people from former Yugoslavia in WMF and chapters related issues. I proposed that two persons from per former Yugoslav republic should be delegated onto the internal list and Internal wiki. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

I didn't ask for any of you up to the beginning of this January. I asked for access for Roman because he is promoting Wikimedian projects in Slovenia and because some people from the global Wikimedian community know him from the meeting in Belgrade. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

Strictly speaking, he passed voting after one week, but some people had objection related to the small number of persons who voted (4 for and 1 neutral). However, from yesterday there is one vote against with one of the questions -- was there voting about that person. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

Because of that, I am asking you to vote should Roman represent your community on internal Wikimedian list and on internal wiki. Of course, you may chose someone else (as well as the primary deal was delegation of two persons), but Roman is known to some people outside of our local communities and he would be the best choice for now. (In the future you may make Wikimedian chapter and after that you would be able to delegate up to five persons.) --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

Voting begins at Sunday, February 4th, 2007 and ends at the end of Sunday, February 11th, 2007. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

After the end of voting, please archive this part (related to voting). --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

If the term "representative" in this context means that I should transfer consensual opinions from Slovene community to the Wikimedia Foundation, and vice versa, where appropriate and allowed, then I accept this nomination. Note, however, that my biggest concern is my lack of time for doing this in real-time.

I would also like to stress the following: while I gladly accepted an invitation to and had much fun during the Belgrade meeting, I made it very clear that I was there not as an appointed member of Slovene community, but as an individual. For this reason I (i) entitled my speech as "Slovene Wikipedia - A Personal View of User Romanm" and (ii) refused travel reimbursement, kindly offered to me by WMF.

So: thank you for trust, and yes, I do accept the "representation" in good faith, but please note that there's a chance you'll have to find someone else if it will take me too much time (we shall see that, won't we?). --romanm (pogovor) 23:57, 4 februar 2007 (CET)

My primary goal related to development of Wikimedian community is to find relevant representatives of the communities from our region. While in Croatian and Macedonian cases it is obvious that Darko and Slobodan are community leaders/representatives, I understand that the situation in Slovenian community is different (AFAIK, you are more equal in the relations inside of the community). However, it is also obvious that you are highly trusted contributor from the perspective of Slovenian Wikimedian community. Also, a number of us concluded that your personal input into Wikimedia Internal will be significant whenever you have enough time to contribute. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 18:30, 5 februar 2007 (CET)
Also, if you (Slovenian community) think that some other person should be your representative, you should decide it and I'll transfer your opinion onto Internal. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 18:30, 5 februar 2007 (CET)

Wikimedia chapters meeting in Poland uredi

I'll ask people from the Chapters Committee to pay trip for one person form Slovenia who should go to the chapters meeting in Poland. Again, I suggest that it should be Roman, but you may delegate some other person. There is no strict date (up to, let's say the end of March) to chose the person (meeting is at the beginning of May, during the Gregorian Eastern, I suppose). So, please discuss about that. I'll update you with other information. --millosh (pogovor (sr:)) 05:17, 4 februar 2007 (CET)
